While en route to Coromnndel to pay an official visit to the Coromandel Bowling Club, a group of prominent bowlers distinguished in the control of the game in the Dominion broke their journey at Thames on Friday afternoon, and wcrp welcomed by the members of the Thames Club. The patty consisted of Messrs. J. Hardley (president i. J. Thompson and G. T. Gladding iof the Dominion Council). J. Pascoe (president). S. Coldicutt. A. Parsons, and A. C Tonkin iof the Auckland Centre). On arriving at the Thames green. Messrs. E. R Cameron (president of the Thames <"lub) and J. Pratt (late president of the South Auckland Centre) expressed the great pleasure it gave the Thames bowlers to again meet their old friends, and. in their reply. Messrs. Hardley and Pascoe referred to the happy associations the Thames green held for Auckland bowlers, and stressed the good qualities of the game and its ideals of sociability, -hospitality, and good- fellowship.
