OBITUARY.

MR. JAMES LUCAS. An esteemed resident of Otahuhu. Mr. James Lucas, died on Friday at the ape of Sti years. Deceased had resided m Otahuhu for the past 30 rears, but was formerly a resident of Dunedin. He nas a prominent member of the M.U. Oddfellows, having joined the Hand and Heart Lodjre in Dunedin at a very carnage. On coming to Otahuhu he immediately became an active member of the local lodpe ana was keen on carrying out the principles and obligations of the order. He was also a member of tbe Loyal Oramze Lodge No. 14. Death, occurred after a very brief illness. Mrs. Lucas survives her husband. The Re\. F. Greenwood conducted The service at the prave.
