Mr. I Will Fletcher, head messenger, was I j entertained by a large number of Post i j and Telegraph officers on Saturday evening last. Mr. Val Dunne, supervisor-in-charpe of the parcels branch, who occupied the chair, referred to the sterling qualities of "Old Bill,** and said that the very many kindly actions he performed during the Great War would never be forgotten by the boys who went to the front. He had every reason to be proud of his record in the Department. The toast of "Our Guest"* was pro--1 posed by Mr. H. Parnell. Other toasts ■ honoured w;ere 'The Department." 'The Association," "The Ladies.'' and "The Artistes."' An excellent musical programme, arranged by Messrs. Prichard i and Meredith, was contributed to bv Messrs. Finlayson, Swann. Harris. Forsfaawc, Allen. Stanton, Prichard, Elliott, Heard and Meredith. "Old Lang Syne," | ate, concluded a very pleaaant evening!
