FIRE AT TAUMARUNUI.

■ ■ (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) TAUMARUNUI, this day. A seven-roomed house belonging to Mr. S. Bishara, of Taumarunui, was destroyed by fire on Saturday evening about 9 o'clock. The brigade was very promptly on the scene. The fire apparently originated between the roof and the ceiling. The Northern Building Society held a mortgage on the building of £800, and an insurance to the same amount. The insurance on the furniture has not been ascertained.
