WAIMATA RIVER TRAGEDY LITTLE BOY DROWNED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORXE, this day. A small boy, George Spill, -was drowned yesterday afternoon in Waimata River. The boy's parents and a party had been swimming during the afternoon, and the little chap, in bathing costume, was playing around in the water. He was keenly enjoying himself, and seemed in no danger, as he was in full view of the bathers. By 5.30 everyone had left the wattfr, and between that time and 6 o'clock the boy was missed. Search was instantly made, and the body was recovered, caught in a snag, a short distance up the river.
