Other members present were; Messrs. H. E. Me En tee. G. Boagey. W. Rhind. Dr. J. B. Rev. W. C.. Wood, the clerk and foreman, Mr. Moreallean. An application from the Papatoetoe Town Board was received, inquiring into the possibility of the Papakura Town Board supplying Papatoetoe with water. It was resolved to reply that the Papakura. Board was prepare*! to supply water to the Papakura Board's northern boundary at !0d per WOO gallons, also that a committee consisting of Messrs. J as. McCail, H. E. McEntee. and Rev. W. C. Wood be set up to discuss the matter and report. An application for a water supply to his farm was granted to Mr. Balfour M. Irvine. The Main Hizhways Board advised that its chairman and members would be passing through Papakura at a date yet to be fixed, when they would consider any matter of interest. It was resolved that the board meet the Mam Highways Board to inquire into the advisabilitv of declaring the H unua Gorge Rca»l a main highway. A permit was granted to the owner of the Globe Hotei. Papaknra. to construct additions to the hotel. It was moved that a special meeting or the board be held on Monday next at < .30 p.m. Metalling of the following lengths of road was authorised: Twelve chains or Youne's Road to junction of Clin Road; tive chains of Wetiin«n:on Street: Sv« chains of Grove Road: and the unmetallea portion of Chapel Street. The. Works Committee was asked to prepare a classirication or the roads in ths town district.
