SHOOTING DRAMA.
AMERICAN SCANDAL MILLIONAIRE WOUNDED. TRAGEDY IN NEW YORK FLAT. (Br Cable.—Press Association.— Copyright.) XEW YORK, December 21. A tragedy, which, has created a sensation was disclosed in the discovery of the dead body of Mrs. Roberts Ingersoll, wife of the famous watchmaker, who was found shot in her apartments. It seems that Mr. Wallace Maclean Probasco, a young millionaire, whose wife is a daughter of Robert Ingersoll, the famous agnostic and writer, had been living on terms of intimate relationship with Mrs. Robert Ingersoll. He was found seriously wounded, in Mrs. Ingersoll's apartment and will probably die. Probasco told the police that he had gone to Mrs. Ingersoll's apartments to break relations with her, which had been existing over a long period. He told her he had become reconciled to his wife. He says he was about to leave when Mrs. Ingersoll opened fire.
