THE GREAT CHRISTMAS COMPETITION.

RESULTS ON FRIDAY, suspension of; competitions. Dear Boys and Girls,— I suppose you are all excitement about the Animal Competition, and eagerly awaiting the results. lam not yet able to announce the results, but they will be published in the " Star " at the first possible opportunity, so you have still a few days of suspense before your luck is made known. You will see a splendid five-valve wireless set has been offered for Auckland children for this great competition, and for this you must thank Messrs. Tricity House, LtcJ., who have made this donation. We now have three wireless sets, one for Auckland, one for Wellington, and one for Christchurch, so the prize list now totals nearly £200, as this set is valued at £50. I thought that you would not want to do competitions during the Christmas and New Year weeks, so they have been suspended until the "Budget" of January 5, 1927, when they will be resumed. The prize money in all competitions will be posted out to the various children in order to reach them before Christmas, although it is not possible to publish all the results in this issue. The Christmas Supplement will be published to-morrow, and I have aranged over two pages of interesting material for you to read. You will find there many new games to play, and all sorts of ideas for a Christmas party. I do hope that you all will have fZ*-*\ a happy time, and will write and tell L_^^^^^^^ mc about the good times you had. f \ J >tf^^^^^^^ , ioO<><><>O<><>O<>OO<K>O<>O<H>O<K^ CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS COMPETITION.
