The 1 works are situated in an isolated area, j . and as there were no fire-fighting appli- j ances the fire had to-take its course: un- i obstructed. The company-was-insured, I bnt the amount is not ".known. ' - ! The fire spread to the adjacent boiling- ! down works of the K. and H. Meat Co., I totally destroying the building and con- | tents, which were uninsured.. _The lloss. 1 to the latter company is not;of any.great | extent, as the building, .which -.was. con-Jj sidered of small "value, contained only a j few casks of tallow. ; . !
