BOXING.
THTXRU-PARKER FIGHT. j ARRIVAL OF THE FREXCHMAX. The French middle-weight, Marcel I Thuru. a member of Leon See's team.! arrived at Auckland from Palnierston I Xorth this morning, in company with his trainer-manager. E. W. ("Ted") Scott, the Xew Zealand boxer-journalist. Thuru, who is to contest a purse of £200 with Eddie Parker at the Town Hall on Tuesday night next, in a Imut sc'^rln l -"! to go fifteen rounds, is a tall, well-built young man. He has fair hair, and i.more handsome than one might expect a professional boxer to be Unable to speak English, Thuru looks to his manager to discharge all business details for him, and in Scott he has a capable director. Since his arrival in the Dominion, Thuru has been training hard at Palmerston Xorth. and whatever work he does in Auckland will be by way of putting the polish on his form. Finishing-off work will be done each afterjioon at the city fire station gymnasium. Scott says Thuru is very fit, and thinks that he should make a good showing against the nuggety Parker.
