OCEAN YACHT RACES. TO TATTRANGA AND RTJSSEIX. ENTRIES -VXD HANDICAPS. The long-distance yacht races from Auckland to Tauranga, and from Auckland to Russell, will both start oil Fri-1 day evening. The usual regatta will be held at Tauranga on Tuesday next, for which .1 full programme of 30 events has been arranged. The s.s. Matangi leaves on Monday at S p.m., returning after the regatta. For the Russell regatta, to be held on Thursday. December 30. the programme includes races for keel and centreboard I yachts, and several events for boats lifted with outboard motors, including the New Zealand championship for this class. The s.s. Clansman leaves Auckland for Russell on Wednesday at G p.m. The Whangarei regatta, which takes place on New Year's Day. will include the usual races for yachts and motor boats, the chief event being the race for the Whangarei Harbour Board Cup. The s.s. Clansman leaves Auckland for Onerahi on Friday, at 10 p.m., returning after the regatta.
