BURNED AND SCALDED. GDtL SUCCUMBS TO INJURIES. (Bjr Telegraph.—Press. Association.! : . PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. Lorna Allen, the nine-year-old daughter of Mr. Charles Allen, photographer of Palmerston North, while in the house with her sister, was removing a kettle from the stove when her clothing ignited. Boiling water from the kettle, which upset, also scalded the child, who ran into the street with her clothes a mass of flames. Help was soon at hand and the flames were extinguished, but the child was so severely burned and scalded that she died in the hospital during the night. ■• ■"<"
