MATCHES IN PROGRESS. SOUTH AUSTRALIA'S LEAD. I ADELAIDE, December 20. The Sheffield Shield match, South Australia v. New South Wales, was continued to-day. The visitors carried their over-night score of 203 for three wickets to 341, in reply to the home team's first innings' score of 500. j Andrews made 86, Ratcliffe 46, Hogg 24, Mailey 21, Morgan 26 not out. For South Australia Grimmett took four •wickets for 110 runs and Williams five for 155. Andrews and Ratcliffe made a good start and made things lively for a time. ; After that Grimmett and Williams kept the batsmen quiet, and they soon ranj through the remainder of the visitors. , In their second innings South Australia had made 168 for five wickets when stumps were drawn. The Sheffield Shield match, Victoria against Queensland, was continued to-day. In Saturday's play Queensland, in their first innings, made 147, Victoria replying with 108 for no wickets. Victoria to-day increased their score to 511 for seven wickets. Woodfull, who I was 50 not out yesterday, made only 6 more when he was out for 56, Ponsford made 151, Hendry 140, Ryd?r 37, LiddiI cutt 16 and Rigg 62.
