GIFTS FROM NEW ZEALAND. LAMB AND BUTTER SENT. LOXDOX, December 20. The Xew Zealand Meat Board is spreading throughout Britaih Christmas cheer which Xew Zealanders have ordered to be sent to friends, and 2560 carcases of lamb have been sent everywhere, including the Shetlands, Lands End, and the Channel Islands. Each carcase is packed in hessian at the London docks, and will be delivered at the home of the recipient by December 23. The Butter Board is posting 1500 cartons of butter in four, eight, and twelve* pound lots. The practice of sending Xmas cheer has grown considerably ■ since 1924. Traders admit it is a happy idea to advertise the products extensively and cheaply.— ("Sun.")
