EXPERT RADIO SERVICE.

FREE ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE. FIRESTONE RADIO DEPOT. • The Firestone Radio Depot, which has its showrooms in . Kliyber Pass, is indeed fortunate in securing the services of one so capable in radio construction, engineering, and service, as Mr. Frank Hobbs, who for years was associated with Radio, Ltd., wholesale radio distributors. During that period he was in the very happy position of being able to examine and handle all the leading makes of radio receivers and their necessary accessories. Mr. Hobba has now taken over the management of the Firestone Radio Depot sales department, and is in attendance daily, demonstrating the exceedingly powerful properties of the "Federal Ortho-sonic," "Mohawk," "Gilfillan," "Counterphase Six," which are all amazingly efficient receivers, each having a record equal to any set manufactured either in England or America. The public criticism is generally recognised to be exceedingly severej and if this is any criterion it speaks well uf the performances of these sets, as already two entire shipments have been distributed to retail customers in and around Auckland's environs. The "Federal" ortho-sonic radio is a most aniazing and it has rightly been ■ called th£ "Rolls-Royce" radio receiver , of America. For tone and volume, richnesV in reproduction, and 'clearness, it is said to surpass anything yet manufactured, a reputation of which the agents may well be proud. The "Mohawk," "Gilfillan" and "Counterphase Six" are sets.decidedly in another class, but a group which can be regarded as thoroughly reliable, efficient and ever popular. The. "Counterphase "Six" particularly is a receiver which has gained gtipularity by hundreds seeking a radio '%et< which will-serve them faithfully with positively, good reception and selectivity. • It is quite believable that these selective sets have on many occasions picked ■up the transmitting stations in America and Japan, a feature which is all that could be desired. The Firestone Radio Depot have showrooms in Khyber Pass which can truly be described as "de luxe," and visitors may sit in comfort and listen to the music from over the air. The fact that a selection of recognised "better" radio sets are at the disposal of the customers to listen to, and generally test, doubly assures them that they will be able to compare the functions of several different designs, and finally choose a receiver which is in every way their satisfactory selection. Demonstrations are held daily, and appointments in the evenings can be made for home demonstrations. The public would be well advised to visit the Firestone Radio Depot.
