THE BIGGEST KAURI LOG IN THE DOMINION.—This monster log, 29ft Sin in girth, is now on the breakdown taw at the K.T.C. It was some six feet higher and wider when in the round, and it had to be squared to go through the frame. It grew in Kauaeranga bush, Thames, and contains 10,475 superficial feet. There were four logs in the tree, the total millablo timber being over 66,000 s.f.—enough to build a terrace of bungalows.
