BUTTER MARKET QUIET. Messrs. A. HH. Turnbull and Co. are in receipt of a cable from Mesrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., dated London, 18th inst., readmit as follows:—"Danish butter, 186/ to 188/; New Zealand* salted butter, 170/ to 172/; New Zealand stored, 164/. Market quiet. "Xew Zealand cheese, white, 95/ to 967, Market slow. Canadian cheese, 91/ to 9S/. Market steady." Messrs. Allen and Findlay have received the following cabled advice from their principals, Messrs. Armour and Company, Ltd., London, dated London, December 18: "Butter.—Xew Zealand, stored 164/ to 166/. controlled 170/ to 173/. Market quiet. CHICAGO WHEAT. (Received 10 a.m.) CHICAGO, December 20. Chicago wheat for December delivery is quoted at 1 dol 39% cents per bushel, for May at 1.39%. and for July at 1.32%.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.) U.S.A. WHEAT CROP. (Received 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 20. The Department of Agriculture has announced a revised estimate of the U.S.A. wheat crop as 832.305.000 bushels.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) TALLOW. Dalgety and Co. have received a cable from their London office stating that the next sale will take place on January 7.
