AMERICAN LOAN.
MONEY FOR N.S.W. RUMOUR CONFIRMED. NEW YORK, December 19. The rumour that preliminary discus sions have taken place regarding a loai to New South Wales are confirmed b; the National City Bank and the Billio: Read Co. It is stated, however, tha no developments are expected at leas until next April. It is understood that these banker were asked to submit a bid to under write a loan of approximately £10,000 000, but negotiations thus far have pre ceeded no further than the stage c inquiry. It is expected that if the loan i effected it may partially be floated i London as well as in New. York.
