APPEAL DISMISSED.
COXTROLLEE-GENEEAL OF PRISONS. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. The appointment of Mr. A. L. Dallard as Controller-General of Prisons was recently tiie subject of an appeal by an officer of the Prisons Department. It was announced to-day that the appeal had .been dismissed by the Public Service Appeal Board. The appointment of Mr. Dallard, therefore, is confirmed.
