Sporting and Dramatic Review," the variety of the subjects and merit of these productions reaching an exceptionally high standard. The opening of the yachting season in Auckland forms an inviting series. The Otahuhu Trotting Club's. meeting is dealt with in an interesting series of snapshots covering starts and finishes., Photographs also appear of the Waikato Racing Club's gathering at Te Rapa. All eyes will turn to the full page photograph of "Miss New Zealand" (Miss Thelma Mc millan), who figures in a very charming portrait. The centre pages are filled with interesting topical items, French Polar expedition, English Beauty Finalists, Industrial Fair, Riff leader exiled, and British cruisers visit Philadelphia. The Royal Show in Auckland is illustrated in graphic snaps showing the Governor-General, the jumps, the prize cattle and the various exhibits. Other subjects that are accorded special treatment are unveiling of memorial to famous British division in Ypres salient, and opening of London's first mosque. In the miscellaneous division appear racing thrills at Brooklande, New Plymouth Operatic Society's production of "Floradora," racing at Newmarket, transAtlantic flight disaster, latest fashions, etc The "Review" is on tale at all booksellers and stationers.—(Ad.)
There was a smile in the Arbitration Court this morning when counsel engaged in a compensation case said that he could only fix a certain date by the fact that it was the second day of the Te Aroha races.
