THE VARIOUS STAGES OF THE CLUB BADGE.
Xow come with mc, Jid I will accompany yon round the ■workshop. First of all there are sheets and •heets of a. dirty looking metal which a machine makes quick work of cutting np into narrow strips about a foot in length. Xext another machine punches out the approximate shape and size of the badge, and soon ire have a quantity of dirty looking pieces of metal about the size of a shilling. These are then placed in a machine which makes an impession of the design of the badge on one side, and "'A. Kohn, Ltd.,"' (the maker's name) on the other,
A display similar to the one appearing in the reproduction above is to be seen in the maker's shop in Queen Street, and any "Budget"' readers are welcome to go along and see for themselves the actual materials from which our badge is made.
In the case of burns bathe the wounds ■with a strong solution of carbonate of soda, and place over them strips of linen soaked in picric acid or carron oil. Next place cotton wool over the linen strips and finally bandage.
