OPENING OF YACHTING SEASON.
NINE CLUBS TAKING PART. FULL RESULTS TO-NIGHT. The official opening of the yachting season on the Waitemata will take place this afternoon, when all local yacht and power boat clubs have combined to make a big display. Races will be held for all classes, starting off the end of the King's wharf at intervals of eight minutes, the big keel yachts going away first at 2.20 p.m. The larger classes will race to Islington Bay, and the smaller classes over harbour courses. A full report of all harbour events will appear in our Sports Edition. The results of the cruising races will also appear. They will be sent by wireless, through the courtes\- of the crew of the launch Eclwina.
