IN THE LAND OF DREAMS.
(By DULCY BATTMAN, Whangarel, aged 11.) Peter Pan, If you can, WUI you come to see mc. Sometimes when I think of yon I seem to get quite dreamy. When the sunshine lights the sky, I sit and dream, with hopes so high, That Peter Pan and Wendy dear, And Tinker BeU so light and fair, Will come and see mc by and by. Bnt when the thunder growls with rage I sit down with the "Budget Page," And laugh with glee for there I see Messages of love and cheer Prom Peter Pan and Wendy dear. But sometimes when I've Just begun, An' I'm having such a lot of fun, My mother calls mc off to bed, So I lie and dream of what I've read.
The claws are the cat's chief weapon, both for attack and defence. It is important, therefore that they should be sharp. When not in use, and especially when the cat is walking, the claws are withdrawn into sheaths'.
