OBITUARY.
MR. ANDREW ARMOUR. A colonist of sixty-three years' standing, Mr. Andrew Armour, was buried yesterday afternoon at Hillsboro , Cemetery. Mr. Armour was born 01 years ago at Renfrewshire, Scotland. He came to Auckland by the ship Portland in 1863, and the first -work he obtained was on the site now occupied by Ellerslie racecourse. Later he was working as a carter on the road at Waiuku, and then joined his brother, the late Mr. William Armour, on a farm at Matakana. Mr. Andrew Armour then tried his luck on Thames goldfields, and afterwards was farming on his own account at Whangaripo. Fifteen years age he come to Auckland to live with his daughter at Pa Road, Epsom. Deceased is survived by his wife and the following daughters: Mrs. J. St. Paul (Ardmore), Mrs. W. Gibbs (Bulls), Mrs. 0. McLeod (New Lynn), Mrs. M. J. Williams (Whangaripo) and Miss Armour (Auckland). « K/T —; /\ MR. ERNEST SCOTT. The late Mr. Ernest Scott, whose death occurred as the result of his being knocked down by a motor bus in Khyber Pass, -was much liked by his companions in the "T. 8." shelters. He was 52 years of age, and a native of Hartlepool, England. He came to New Zealand about twenty years ago, and was for some time with the N.Z. Shipping Company. Prior to the war he was chief engineer of the Wetere, trading out of New Plymouth. He went to England with the reinforcements during the war, and was transferred to the Navy just before the armistice. He became a T.B! case while on service, and since bis return had never been well. The interment took place at Waikumete cemetery. Mrs, Scott vives her husband. yA
