CAPE MARIA BEACON.
RADIO IN NOVEMBER. (By Telegraph—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. The Marine Department announces that during November the radio beacon at Cape Maria Van Diemen will commence operating in weather of low visibility. Signals will be sent out' automatically on a wave length of 1000 metres, the signal lasting/two minutes, followed three minutes' silence. Vessels requiring radio direction on other occasions will secure it by communicating through Awanui radio station.
