The destructive storm which swept Havana is the third of its kind experienced this year. Further details state that several vessels were sunk or damaged, 40 fishing vessels foundered, and launches and small boats were swept away.

The Cuban naval vessels Feber and Hatuey were sunk or damaged, many foreign vessels sustained damage, and numerous wharves were wrecked.

So great was the force of the seas that the water in San Lazaro Street, one block from the waterfront, rose to the second storey of some of tho houses.

An official report states that there were 30 deaths and 300 injured. Thousands pf people are in need of food and shelter. All places of business are closed and police and troops are patrolling the streets. FLORIDA WARDS.

The hurricane is expected to reach southern Florida late this evening.

Telephone advices from Key West, the island naval station of Florida, state that the wind is blowing in gusts at a velocity of 80 miles per hour. A wireless distress signal was received from an unidentified ship, and it is feared there; is heavy loss of life through drowning.

UNOFFICIAL CASUALTY LIST. (Received 11.30 a.m.) HAVANA, October .21. A complete xinofficial check of Havana district shows the casualties from the hurricane to have been: Killed, 58. Injured, 2100. Seriously injured, 400. There were 325 buildings razed.
