INCOMING OVERSEAS MAILS. R.M.s. Niagara, due Auckland, on 26th October (Australian mail). R.M.s. Makura, due Wellington 25th October (English and American mail). LABOUR DAY, 25th OCTOBER, 1936. Monday. 25th October, will be observed as a holiday in all branches. On Saturday evening, 23rd October, a delivery of all correspondence. Including registered letters, will be made over the postmen's counter, first floor, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Mails usually dispatched on Monday* before 7.13 a.m. will close at 4 a.m., those after 7.15 at the latter hour.
The Main Trunk mails, however, will close at 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. Late fee letters for Southern offices of New Zealand may be posted in the letter box at the entrance to the station platform up to 7 p.m. and 7.33 p.m. as usual.
