WAIHI G.M. COMPANY. SUPERINTENDENTS REPORT. The following information concerning the operations of the Waihi Gold Mining Company has been transmitted by cablegram to its London offiep:—No. 8 level, north leader: Driving east, the next 37ft aesaye 57/6 per ton. The width of the lode varies fvom 12in to ISin. No. 9 level. Royal lode: West of the Edward lode junction, commencing at 63ft, the next 12ift assays 6/9 per ton. No. 10 level, Sbyirk north-west crosscut: At 410 ft in we have driven to the west on the west reef 20ft. It ia of little or no value. Edward cross lode: We have driven south a further 23ft It is of little or no value. No. 11 level, Martha lode: Driving east of kauri crosscut, the next 23ft assays 18/6 per ton. No. 12 level: At 68ft in the south-east prospecting crosscut we intersected a lode 2ft wide, assaying 15/ pn , ton. The course is 200 degrees, and the dip 1 in 6 north. Croeecutting has been suspended. No. IS level, Empire lode: Driving west the next 30ft assays 23/ per ton. At 84ft the total width of the lode is 14ft aud the assay value 37/6 per ton. No. 14 level, Edward lode: Driving south the next 19ft assays 34/ per ton. MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Zeehan Consolidated. —The mine superintendent reports that stripping and timbering on the north reef. No. 5 level, has been "complete)! for 1.10 "feet. The point has been k>ached where the east crosscut lias* turned dff. - A second block will be started where the" reef turns north from the east crosscut When completed, these two blocks will give 240 feet, ready for breaking out. Every foot driven on the north reef means ; a great increase in the bncks. Considerable progress has been made at the battery.
