The Canadian woollen industry retfqatly accomplished an unusual achievement when it produced a light fall overcoat in one day from the shearing of the sheep to the sewing on of the buttons. Tftis feat resulted from a'challenger.by. a .Toronto .daily paper and the co&t was worn.by. Lieutenant-Governor Pctodeau, of Quebec,- .the Canadian National Exhibition. Four tambe wejre first taken twelve miles in a. touring automobile :lo the " Sliiigsby Woo Hen mjll at-Bwiitfordi and at 5-a.m. wetr siuirn, tSi.' wool scoured froni crease and dirt and placed in tlie boiling dye yat, all within half an hour. The wool waii then carded, spun'and'woven into, cloth, which was delivered ...to a Bj-antford tailor. The finished coat was' .lianepbrted , fifty miles by aeroplane, and delivered at the Exhibition grounds Jg *J& Tf.m. th» Mine day.
