Mr. R. W. Smith, M.P. for Waimarino. arrived in Auckland this morning and is at the Central Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. C. Kennedy, of Calcutta, arrived from kelson yesterday and are at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. W. F. Wallis (Hamilton). Mr. E. M. Edkins, Mr. and Mrs. H. Vice (Te Kuiti), arc at the Central Hotel.
Canon Archdall, headmaster of King's College, is spending this week-end in the Hamilton and Cambridge district.
Mr. D. J. Richardson, Mr. G. C. Batter?by (Wellington), Mr. H. M. Puflett (Gisborne), Mr. H. H. Barlow (Christchurch), are at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. W. Toogood, Mn R. Girling Butcher, Mr. G. Wilds, Mr. S. Mitchell, Mr. A. Welstead, and Captain J. Briseoe (Wellington), and Mr. G. A. Cowlcy (Sydney) are at the Star Hotel.
The Hon. George Witty, M.L.C., of Cbristchurch, will be confined to his bed for a few days through being struck by a falling piece of wood yesterday, which inflicted painful though not serious injuries about the head and shoulders.
Mr. O. W. Rainger, son of Mr. Harry Rainger, of this city, is returning by the Xiapara, which leaves Sydney to-day for Auckland. Mr. Rainger has been spending the last two years in England and on the Continent, where he has been studying various phases of the silk industry.
