(By Telegraph.—Press .Association* \ ' TEKUlTi;thV,diy,\ At 5.30 this morning a fire broke 1« in the kitchen of Kelvin HousemELS hotel, and resulted in this and t2 three rooms above being gutted. Luckily there was no wind at ■Qα time, otherwise nothing could hwr saved the building, which is a ♦» storey wooden one. The brigade dM splendid work in saving this and t£ adjoining wooden buildings. The hnJSu ing, furniture and fittings, howeveT were considerably damaged throurt smoke and water. ™ The building was insured for £40M and the furniture for £1000 in yj Northern Company's ofiice. ™
