BJINE MANAGER'S REPORTS. Kuranui, —The manager reports (hat the drive east on Hogs reef from lower level crosscut has been extended Mft, a total of 154 ft. The reef averages 12in wide, but Is still mixed with mullock. It ta malting bunclies of nice quartz, Tho country during the week haa been very tirm and of a (splendid cluss for currying gold bearing reefs, being interlaced with nice mineral veins and quartz stringersIlaurakl Mines. —The supervisor reports that the men started rising on the reef last Tuesday, and arc now up a distance of 10ft from the back of the level. The reef is a compact body of ore 121 a wide showing favourable mineral Indications. The reel and country are now getting oxidised similar to what existed in the upper level where good values were obtained. Maorlland Consolidated. — The mine innuuger reports that for the week ending October 16 the No. 4 level was picked up for a further 20ft, making a total distance pf 70Bft from the entrance. The level is nearing the end of the break, und quite v lot of water was drained off during the week. This Indicates an open level ahead. The manager expects to have the present breaU cleared during the coming week.
