AUCKLAND ACCIDENTS.
MOTOR KNOCKS CHIXD DOWN,
CYCLIST STRIKES STONE WALL.
A fracture of the right leg was sustained by Fanny Levet, aged five years, who resides with her parents at 311, Bridge Street, Mount Eden, through being knocked down by a motor car near the Mount Eden Railway bridge late yesterday afternoon. She was removed to the Auckland Hospital, where she is progressing satisfactorily. A motor cyclist, Mr. John Reginald Kelly, aged 32 years, and residing at Carruth Road, Papatoetoe, while attempting to avoid another cyclist on the Great South Road, near Westfield, yesterday afternoon, collided with a stone wall. He sustained injuries to the right leg, which necessitated his removal to the Auckland Hospital, where an operation was performed last evening. Tht injured man was to-day reported to be quite comfortable.
An employee of the Post and Telegraph Department,, Mr. Claude Quilter, sustained concussion this morning through falling off a motor truck in Customs Street East, just outside the premises of John Burns and Co., Ltd. The injured man was removed to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. Mr. Quilter is a middle-aged man, and 'resides at 5, Gibraltar Crescent, Parnell.
