■ ■ ■ ENGLISH LEAGUE'S REQUEST. THE RESIDENTIAL QUALIFICATION'S Members of the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby League were not unanimous in their opinion of the continuance or cancelhitiou of the tw<? years' residential qualification, which at present is necessary before a Rugby Union player in Xew Zealand can play, Xorthern Union in England. This was brought up at lust meeting and it was tlieu decided to forward it on to other Leagues in theDominion and their opinions obtained. SCHOOLBOYS AT LEAGUE. Mr. A. R. Turner, hon. secretary of the Parnell League Football Club, writes: In reference to Mr. F. Murphy's letter on. school boys playing League football, and on refusal to recognise same, I have to note the contents, and in reply I wish to state that I interviewed the master and he raised no objections, mentioning, however, that he would not be a party to consenting to the boys playing. I then saw some of teh- boys who were ' eager to play League, and the game was then arranged. Mr. Murphy's letter does not alter the fact that the majority of the boys in the school team that - played against Otahuhu were the same boys that played Rugby Union all this • season.
