Mr. R. P. Towle returned from the South yesterday. Mr. J. J. MeGratb, the well-known Wellington solicitor, arrived in Auckland by this morning's Limited express. Mr. CharJes Armstrong, of Hamilton, arrived by this. morning's Limited express. Mr. Rodie, chief commercial agent for New Zealand Railways, was a passenger by this morning's express from the South. - ■ Major-General E. Young, General Officer Comminding the New Zealand Forces, was a passenger from the South by this morning's express. Captain H. H. Sergeant, harbourmaster at Auckland, completed twentyone years' service with the Auckland Harbour Board to-day. Mr. C. G. Russell, Mr. H. M. Speed (Wanganui), Mr. T. J. Roulston (Hasttings), Mr. J. Somers (Te Aroha), Mr. B. Newsham (Tauranga), Captain G. Prictor (Wellington), Mr. E. Rice (Wairoa) are at the Central Hotel. Mr. R. Hall (Sydney), Mr. R. T. Parish (Los Angeles), Mr. H. Ridley (Sydney), Mr. and Mrs. R. Hanna (Cambridge), Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Shaw (Thames), Mr. R. G. Hoskins (Whangarei), Mr. J. MeMahon (Palmerston North), Mr. R. G. Harris (Tamarunui), Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Taylor (Wellington) are at the Star Hotel.
