For the Tβ Aroha Borough Council byelection, caused through the death of the late Councillor John Frear, two candidates were nominated, ile.srs. Sto-pford Leslie Boles and John Charlea Carroll. Very keen interest in the contest was shown yesterday, it being tlie heaviest by-election poll in Te Aroha for many years. The polling resulted:—Bolos, Ml; Carroll, 345 ; informal, 7.
