SEMI-OFFICIAL FAREWELL.
PREMIER'S DEPARTURE. LEAVES FOR WELLINGTON TO-NIGHT. The Prime Minister, Mr. Coa:e=, will jbe given a semi-official farewell before I his departure for Wellington this evening. The function has been arranged by the executive of the Auckland Reform j League and will take place on the station I platform at about 7 o'clock. -It is ! expected tnat at least fifty members of ' the local executive, with Sir. George H. j Wilson (president), will be present. Time did not permit of a public farewell being organised in Auckland during the Prime Ministers northern tour. Mr. Coates arrives by the Whangarei express at 6.12 to-night from Matakohe, : J where he spent yesterday with his ' j family, and he will leave for Wellington !i by the Limited express. He sails from '■ j Wellington by the Makura next Tuesday ■ ' to attend the Imperial Conference.
