MANAGEMENT MATTERS. SATURDAY'S REP. FIXTURE. The Management Committee of the A.F.A. met last night, Mr. Andrew Menzies presiding. The medical superintendent of the Auckland Mental Hospital thanked the A.F.A. for thoughtfulnes'S in sending complimentary tickets for the North ShorePorlrua cup tie. The action of the A.F.A., It was stated, was the means of helping to brighten the lot of some of the inmates. The committee decided to extend an open invitation to Dr. Prins and any patients and attendants he considered would .benefit from an outing to visit Blandford Park when suitable. Arrangements were finalised for the rep. match, Navy v. .Auckland, on .Saturday. The New Zealand Council wrote regretting that it was impossible to arrange for the Otago Boys' High School to play Mount Albert Grammar School for the Skerrett Cup as a curtain-raiser to the Chatham Cup final. The council expressed its interest in school football, and assured the A.F.A. and the Junior Management of their readiness to help along the game in the school grades. The question of a fixture for the injured ■players' day was discussed. It was agreed that October 2 be set aside for this object, the principal attraction being a match between Tramways (Auckland champions) and North Shore (North Island champions). The matter of arranging a curtainraiser in the shape of a comody game was left to Mr. Reason to confer with the navy teams and report next week. JUNIOR MANAGEMENT. The Junior Management Committee met last night, Mr. F. M. Kitchie presiding. It was decided to declare the fifth grade A competition closed. North Shore, being in an unassailable position, were declared winners. Mr. l'\ M. Ritchie donated a set of medals to. the winners of the fifth grade X competition, and was cordially thanked for his gift. It was .agreed that the final of the fourth grade knock-out between V.M.C.A. and North Shore be played on Saturday. A Rules Committee of Messrs Harrison, Hodge, Ballantyne, Ritchie and Beswick was appointed to formulate rules for school and junior grade competition's. Messrs. Beswick and Ballantyne were appointed selectors of the under 15 rep. team to meet the primary school reps, on a date to be fixed. SATURDAY'S FIXTURES.
