PORTLAND TRAIN FATALITY.

ACCIDENTAL, SAYS JURY. (B.v Telegraph.— Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The inquest was resumed at the Whangarei Courthouse to-day, before Mr- J. E. Holmes (acting coroner) and a jury, on Albert Holdsworth, who succumbed in the Whangarei Hospital on AugUKt 27 to injuries received at Portland on August 20, when he was caught by a rake of empty cement trucks. After the conclusion of the evidence a verdict was returned that death was due to injuries then received, no blame being attachable to either the driver or the fireman of the engine.
