Eyre, that the Fellowship Degree lias been conferred by tho Council of the Institute of Incorporated Secretaries in Sydney upon the following Auckland practising accountants: R. A. Spinley, Val. Kirk, C. Mackley and B. Bagnall, while R. D. Ncal has been elected an associate member of the institute. It is announced that Mr. J. A. Barraclougb, after 43 years' service with Reuters, the greater part of which has been in Australia, has obtained leave to retire on pension from his position as general manager of the agancy in Australia and New Zealand. Mr. Barraclotigh will be succeeded by Major A. E. Wearne, M.C., Reuters chief correspondent in Peking, who has had a distinguished career with the agency. Major Wearne is an Australian. Mr, R. H. Moffat, who has been secretary of the igency for many years, has been ippointed deputy general manager.
