SMOKING IN BUSES.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —I would lik? to voice a word of protest re the above nuisance. Not only is the practice a nuisance, but a danjror to the travelling public. One eteps into a bus in the city and sometimes wonders if a mistake has not been made, for it is hard to tell if it is really a >,rs or a billiard saloon. Some men seem to have lost all sense of decency, perhaps some of them never had any. Some time ago a by-law was passed prohibiting the practice, but no notice was taken of it, and, although a little later •we rend in the "Star" that the by-law was to be enforced, still nothing lias lieen done. Have the authorities no power to act'r—-I am, etc, REGULAR PASSENGER.
