BOXING.
A MOTION OF CONFIDENCE. IN THE PRESENT MANAGEMENT. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON", Monday. Members of the Council of the New Zealand Boxing Association returned to Wellington from Napier to-night. At Napier the annual conference was held. The gathering, of amateur boxers was a record one. On the way down the party hart a dinner at Woodville. when the following resolution was passed by the amateur boxers and handed on to the council : — "That this, the largest gathering of amateur boxers ever assembled In New Zealand. desires to express its loyalty i<> and r-onrt-dence in the present New Zp.ilnnd RoxinS Association, which is doing so much towards plncing amateur boxing on a higher standard throughout the I>ominion."
