AUCKLAND CLUB. The above clud held a race from Tβ Kuiti, and after flying for 4h 30m against exceedingly adverse conditions, the honour of first place goes to Mr. E. Euesden'e Tony, which made a velocity of 714 yds per minute. Fallowing are the first six velocities:—

The first race in the old bird series was contested from Te Aivamutu on Saturday under unpleasant weather conditions, the birds making poor velocities; airline distance, 80. miles. Results: —

The Ponsonby Flying Club flew their third race of the 1926 old bird season from Onakune. nn nirlinc distance of 188 miles. The second old bird race was flown on Saturday from Taumarunui, 144 miles airline. The birds had to face a head wind and rain on their jo.urney, making progress slow, Stormy Day being the first arrival, doing the distance in Oh 27m. Results : — S. A.
