FARMER DIES SUDDENLY.
(By Telegraph.--Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A very old resident of Whatawhata, Mr. William Mawliinney, died suddenly this morning on reaching Te Awamutu, where he went to see his daughter, who is to be operated on to-day. Deceased had been in the Waikato over 40 years, the whole time farming. He was a genuine type of settler, and took a keen interest in local affairs. For the past two years he had been in retirement at Franicton. He leaves a widow, six daughters, and three sons.
