CHILDREN'S GALA.
DOLLS' PRAM COMPETITION

RAETIHI, Monday.
A dolls , pram competition was held on Saturday for the purpose of raising funds for the forthcoming bulb show, which is held in aid of the local branch of the Plunket Society. The event created a great deal of interest amongst the children, and was well supported. There were thirteen entries and thei prams were prettily decorated. The prize-winners were:— Best decorated pram: Vergie Fulljames, 1; Judy Sigly, 2. Popular voting competition: Judy Sigley (808 votes), 1; Gwen Wills (701 votes), 2. The Mayor and Mrs. Lynch acted as scrutineers, and Mesdames Pearson and Cranston were the judges. The event was inaugurated by Mesdames Sieley and N. Lynch.
