MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Albumin.—The manager reports that a further 12ft has been driven hlllward on the footwall branch of the Orlando reef in the Norwegian level. The country rock is of a splendid description, and shoving more mineral seams than it has for the past 25 or 30ft. The ore body, which is ISm in width, has shown more gold. As per my wire of to-day's date a few pounds of stone, showing nice blotches of gold, has been selected. The general indications at present are most favourable. The Orlando level, which is being cleaned out for ventilation purposes, is now carried over the rise a distance of 10ft. Next week we wHI take off the decking, and make an inspection to ascertain what repairs are required. New Walotahl.—The mine manager reports that the drive blliwanf on the Waiotahl-Cambrla reef has been advanced Sft for the week, making the total distance hlllward of the crosscut 150 ft. The reef formation Is composed of bands of quartz and mild andesite, with seams of iron pyrites and antimony. Crosscuttlng to prove the width and value of the reef will be started shortly. The winze between the Waiotahi-Cambria reef and the footwall leader, which has been sunk to a depth of 2ofr. and a total distance of 12ft. has been driven to get under the point where gold was got in the level, leaving a further 3 or 4ft of driving yet to be done.
