A DOCTOR ARRESTED.
SUPPRESSION OF NAME REFUSED. ft SERIOUS CHARGE PREFERRED. I (Bj- Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") WELLINGTON, this day. Something of a mild sensation was caused by the arrest and charge to-day, ;at Wellington, of a medical practitioner, Dr. Oscar Jacobsen, aged sixty, for incitincr a woman to have used upon her an unlawful instrument or other means. The chief-detective asked for a remand to the 2.3 th. I Mr. 11. 11. Cornish sought bail, saying (accused was unlikely t to leave the eoun- • try. and also asked for suppression of the name. i Mr. E. Pago: If I granted suppression in this case, which involves a serious i charge, I should have to grant stippres- '■ sion in every other kind. The remand was granted on bail of £230.
