I The troops of General Teng Seng-chi have broken through the allied forces of Chang Tso-lin and ft'u Pei-fu on the right flank of the Hunan front, and the J collapse of the Kuominchun or National ; Army in the region of the Xankow Pass is said to be complete, though the troops held the position until they were virtually blown out by high explosives. Kalgan is now occupied by allied troops, and the National Army i≤ in full retreat. All their important military stores have been removed, however. Accordins to semi-official reports. General Fen? Yu-Hsiang ordered the general retreat, and the majority of the Kuominchun leaders dared not oppose the orders, thousrh they deemed it to be unwise.— (Renter.)
