OTAUA DRAINAGE BOARD.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIUKU. Friday. The monthly meftTng or the Otaua Drainage Hoard was held on Thursday, Mr. W. L. West presidini:. The clerk ..f the Klthain Driiinatre Board forwarded a report of a conference of drainage boards held at Elthain, and requested the board's approval of the various remits carried, especially the formation of a drainage boards' association. It was resolved to forward a letter advocating the formation of an association, and the rating on an acreage basis in lieu of capital value. The chairman reported that Mr. McMorran, drainage ensineer, had visited Waliiku to consider some complaints made by ratepayers, but as nothing further bad been heard of the matter, he presumed the complaints were groundless.
