WOOL PROSPECTS GOOD.
AX AUSTRALIAN REPORT. Discussing the prospects for next season, the review of Dennys, Laseelles Ltd., contends that the standard of values will be equal to if not greater than that of the season just closed. Despite the large quantity of wool marketed in Australia, stocks at manufacturing centres are said to be low. and a steady demand for the new clip is therefore expected. Keen competition for stocks is expected from the Australian manufacturers, who it is expected will be entirely without stocks at the beginning of the season. With no carry-over, and a clip which will probably not be quite so groat as that of last year, it is expected that there will be no difficulty in marketing everything offered in the new season. A decrease in the clip in Queensland ig expected as a result of the serious drought being experienced in that State, but reports from the other States indicate that the outlook is satisfactory. Xew South Wales in particular has had an excellent season, and an increase in output, to balance partly the falling off in the Queensland clip, is expected. The one danger suggested in the review is the possibility of competition inflating prices too much, and thereby restricting trade.
